Getting Ready To Sharpen The Saw

REBlogWorld is a ways away yet. As I write this many are preparing to head to the Inman conference in San Fransisco and rebarcamp. It is a great conference and one many will be attending in August.

Even in a good economy that conference is too expensive for me to attend. But I’ve been saving for reblogworld all year. I attended last year and it was an amazing experience. What made this conference so special? It wasn’t just about real estate bloggers. It wasn’t just about real estate period. It put me in touch with so many bloggers and those on the cutting edge of social media I could barely take it all in.

What I’ve always been attracted to in real estate is the opportunity to help individuals and families find a home. I’ve never been motivated by sales or making a lot of money. I am motivated by looking back at the people we have helped purchase a property which they turned into a home. They are happy with their homes and many have become close personal friends.

To me a conference that helps “sharpen the saw”, to do a better job of reaching people is important. Learning new ways to answer their questions before we meet and using blogging as a platform for online marketing is central to doing this.

ReBlogWorld helps me recharge my batteries and stimulate my thinking. It provides new tools and new relationships I take back home. It helps me build new relationships and make new friends. ReBlogWorld is coming and I’m getting ready now.
